Connected Intelligence Foundation

Chicago, IL

Connected Intelligence Foundation (CIF) is the premier Internet of Things community forum that has more than 2,000 members. They bring together executives and technical leaders from multi-billion dollar companies to mid-sized firms to early stage businesses.

Project Mission

CIF already had an existing brand, but they wanted to explore freshening its look up to coincide with its increasing popularity. Katie Lord Inc. presented a few brand marketing concepts and focused on CIF’s target audience.

Our Role

Katie Lord Inc. worked directly with the founders to create a unique brand identity and website to captivate and generate new organization members and focus on connectivity- Internet of Things.

The Evolution

There were many variations of the brand identity, ultimately, we landed on having an icon integrated with the letters within the organization name. The website graphics subtly display the Internet of Things network fabric. We also integrated with Eventbrite to advertise for their past and upcoming events.

Aspirational Ideas

The new logo is a simplistic design that at first glance resonates connectivity. The two N’s connected bring the logo together yet provide differentiation to be used on it’s own as an icon. Their website takes the user through a easy to read and understand explanation of what CIF is and provides a fast way to connect via social media.
